Product Overview
The TDS describes gradual migration of silicone fluid to the molded part surface after vulcanization, providing a lubricating effect for assembly and service.
Key Features
- A two-component, addition-curing liquid silicone rubber for injection-molded cable seals, connector seals and grommets.
Physical Properties
| Property | Reported value |
|---|---|
| Hardness | 47–53 Shore A |
| Tensile strength | At least 8.0 MPa |
| Compression set (22 h, 175°C) | At most 25% |
Selected values from the original TDS. Refer to that document for conditions and whether values are typical or specification limits.
Typical Applications
- Injection-molded cable seals and connector grommets for automotive wire-harness assemblies.
Technical Considerations
Meter and mix components A and B at a 1:1 mass ratio before injection molding. Typical mold temperature is 130–170°C; optimize cure for part geometry. Typical values are not specifications. Consult the SDS.
