Product Overview
SiSiB® PC2363 connects silica reinforcement with the rubber matrix. During mixing, its silane functionality reacts with silanol groups on the silica surface, promoting hydrophobation and filler dispersion. During vulcanization, its mercapto functionality reacts with the rubber polymer to establish chemical coupling between the filler and polymer.
Key Features
- Promotes silica–polymer coupling and filler dispersion.
- Helps reduce Mooney viscosity and improve mixing efficiency compared with conventional polysulfide silanes such as TESPT and TESPD.
- Contributes to improved rebound resilience and lower tan δ at 60°C.
- The supplied TDS reports approximately 80% lower volatile generation in comparative testing against conventional sulfur-functional silanes; detailed test conditions are not provided.
- Suitable for one-step mixing processes.

Typical Applications
- High-silica rubber compounds.
- Low-rolling-resistance tire tread formulations.
- Other silica-reinforced rubber applications requiring improved filler dispersion, lower Mooney viscosity, efficient mixing and reduced volatile emissions.
Technical Considerations
Normally add PC2363 together with silica during rubber mixing. The TDS recommends 10–12 wt% based on the amount of silica. Determine the optimum dosage through formulation trials, taking into account the polymer system, silica type and loading, formulation, mixing conditions and target performance.
The physical-property values are typical and are not intended as specifications. The product may become milky or solidify at low temperature. Comparative performance claims reflect the supplied TDS and should be verified in the intended compound and process.
Available in 25 kg pails, 200 kg drums and 1000 kg IBCs. Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, protected from moisture and high humidity. Shelf life is 12 months from manufacture under the recommended conditions. Consult the current safety data sheet and container label before handling.
