Product Overview
SiSiB® SiM4100 is designed to reduce polymer/metal interfacial friction during PVC processing. The TDS describes lower melt viscosity, extrusion torque and processing pressure, together with improved release, surface gloss and slip. Functional organic segments help compatibility with PVC and distribution within the compound.
Key Features
- Improves PVC processing and melt flow.
- Reduces melt viscosity, extrusion torque and processing pressure.
- Improves release from metal surfaces and molds.
- Enhances surface smoothness, gloss and slip.
- Has a low tendency to bloom at recommended use levels.
Physical Properties

Selected values from the original TDS. Refer to that document for conditions and whether values are typical or specification limits.
Typical Applications
- Rigid and plasticized PVC compounds.
- Calendering and extrusion.
- Injection molding and blow molding.
Technical Considerations
The TDS recommends an addition level of 0.1–2.0%, with the optimum level established by application testing.
For plasticized PVC, add after the plasticizer and before other powdered additives or fillers. For unplasticized PVC, premix thoroughly with the PVC resin before adding other ingredients. Good dispersion is recommended throughout the compound.
